Work tracking, not time tracking.

Other trackers count hours and take screenshots, or wait for someone to fill in a timesheet. Timeslicer writes down what each person worked on.

What got done

VS Monitoring Tools

Timeslicer shows the work that got done

Hubstaff, Time Doctor and ActivTrak show you activity: hours, apps and websites, activity levels and screenshots. You have to work out what got done from that yourself. Timeslicer figures out the work completed and names each task and the client it was for.

VS Timesheet Tools

Timeslicer fills in the timesheet for you

Toggl, Harvest and Clockify build their reports from the time entries people log, so a report is only as complete as everyone's timesheet. Timeslicer figures out the work completed from what each person actually did, and matches it to your work tracker or CRM.

VS AI Trackers

Timeslicer names the work with no setup

Rize, Timely and RescueTime show you time sorted into categories, or into projects someone has to set up and keep up to date first. Timeslicer figures out each task on its own, and everyone's week shows up on one page, encrypted end to end.

Questions

No. Timeslicer doesn't record the screen, log keystrokes or keep screenshots. It notes which app, document or ticket each person is working in and turns that into tasks with hours.

Yes. Every task has its hours and the client it was for. Ask Claude for a timesheet for any person and week, one row per day, and send it on.

Yes. It runs on its own, so you can keep your current tool during the 30-day trial and compare the two on the same days.

Install the app, add the browser extension for web work, and sign in from your invite. After that, nothing. No timers and no end-of-day reports.

Names come from what's in the apps, documents and tickets people work in, plus the few lines of team context you write. Anyone can rename a task from its details.

Each person's activity is stored on their own computer. What they share with the team is encrypted on the device first, so only the team's owner and managers can read it. Timeslicer can't.
